Recycled Brass Jewelry
Made from old bombshells and bullet casings
Jewelry making
From bombshells to bracelets
Taking something that was used for hate and turning it into something beautiful, this line of handmade brass jewelry is the truest project of love. For decades, the Cambodian people have been putting together the pieces of their lives and cleaning up the mess that the Khmer Rouge left behind, and finding beauty in every corner. This line of jewelry is made of recycled bullets and bombshells that were littered across the country. The artisan group, led by Mr. Chenla, take the gathered bullet casings and bombshells and melt them down to be reshaped into unique and beautiful jewelry pieces. The line of jewelry includes 10 styles of earrings, 5 styles of bracelets and 5 styles of pendants and necklaces. Mr. Chenla and his wife have used the proceeds to build a church that provides assistance to 35 local poor and malnourished children and hope to continue to help the local children by creating beautiful jewelry that have a story to tell.
